Bacardi-owned Angel’s Envy has unveiled Cellar Collection Volume 6: Straight Rye Whiskey Finished in Peach Brandy & Toasted Oak Barrels. The limited-edition expression launches nationwide in the US on October 9, 2026, and is the first in the series to receive two cask finishes.
Master distiller Owen Martin created the release by blending rye whiskeys finished in peach brandy barrels with others finished in toasted oak barrels.
“The Cellar Collection is where we challenge ourselves to explore what’s possible through finishing, while using the very best of our whiskey archives,” said Martin. “With Volume 6, I wanted to build layers of flavor. The peach brandy barrels bring vibrant fruitiness, while the toasted oak adds warmth. Together, they create a whiskey that’s complex yet balanced, elevating rye in unexpected ways.”
The component whiskeys were aged for between eight and 11 years in total. Some spent 15 to 23 months in peach brandy barrels, while others spent six to 12 months in toasted oak. Angel’s Envy bottled the rye at 106.4 proof (53.2% ABV).
According to the official notes from the brand, the nose offers ripe stone fruit, baking spice, vanilla, and oak. The palate brings peach, caramel, cinnamon, toasted oak, and rye spice, followed by a long, warming finish of oak and orchard fruit.
Around 36,000 750ml bottles will be available. Each carries a suggested retail price of $199.99 (£151 / ₹19,199).
Volume 6 follows last year’s Cellar Collection Volume 5, a straight rye whiskey aged up to seven years, finished for up to 12 months in French oak barrels that had previously held Patrón Extra Añejo tequila, then blended with an older straight rye aged for more than 11 years. It was also the first Cellar Collection release overseen entirely by Angel’s Envy’s relatively new Master Distiller, Owen Martin.
Founded in 2010, Angel’s Envy was among the first American whiskey producers to use secondary finishing across its whole portfolio. Its core range includes a Kentucky straight bourbon finished in Port wine barrels and a rye finished in Caribbean rum casks.
In 2016, the company opened its distillery at 500 East Main Street. It became the first full-production whiskey distillery in downtown Louisville.
Angel’s Envy completed an $8.2 million expansion of the site in June 2022, doubling annual guest capacity. Louisville Distilling Company, a subsidiary of Bacardi Limited, produces the brand. Angel’s Envy is available in all 50 US states and several international markets.
