Independent bottler Rare Find has unveiled a new collection of three single cask whiskies exploring the world of “teaspooned” malts. The release follows strong demand for the brand’s Spring 2026 bottlings, which prompted an accelerated launch schedule.

Teaspooned malts contain a small addition of a secondary malt, a practice originally conceived to protect distillery identity. For independent bottlers, they offer an opportunity to present spirits of recognizable heritage while maintaining label confidentiality around their origins.

The collection spans three Scottish whisky regions: Speyside, the Highlands, and Campbeltown. All three expressions are bottled at natural cask strength, natural color, and without chill filtration.

The first release is a Speyside 22 Year Old finished for 14 months in a first-fill oloroso hogshead. The cask, a medium-charred American oak vessel, was produced in partnership with Bodegas Barbadillo. The whisky is sourced from a Speyside distillery founded in 1892.

The second bottling, a Westport 18 Year Old, is a Highland malt from a distillery known for its extremely tall stills. It was also finished for 14 months in a first-fill oloroso cask from Bodegas Barbadillo, this time crafted from Spanish oak, seasoned for 24 months, and toasted.

A Campbeltown 10 Year Old rounds out the trio. This blended malt was sourced primarily from a distillery located just north of Campbeltown’s Kinloch Park and fully matured in a refill hogshead.

“The response to our Spring releases has been exceptionally strong, enabling us to bring forward this next collection ahead of schedule,” said John Moffat, head of commercial for Rare Find. “These teaspooned malts represent some of the whisky industry’s best kept secrets—where discretion and character exist in perfect harmony.”

Moffat added: “As ever, our focus remains on selecting and presenting exceptional casks at their peak, allowing each whisky to speak for itself.”

Rare Find is an independent bottler recognized for its cask selection and guided maturation approach. The brand sources single casks from distilleries across Scotland and bottles them without compromise to showcase individual cask character.

The collection will be available through select specialist retailers from April 16 with the Campbeltown whisky carrying an MSRP of £65. The Westport 18 Year Old is priced at £115, and the Speyside whisky is priced at £175. Stockist information can be found at Rare Find’s website.
