Located in Washington State, Copperworks Distillery follows the regional specialty of American Single Malts, taking advantage of its very Scottish/Irish climate. The distillery now has a new offering, out in time for the Holidays as either a gift or for feast table drinking: Copperworks Pondera Cabernet Cask American Single Malt. This whiskey was crafted using pale malt and matured for over seven years in a refill Copperworks cask before finishing for six months in a Cabernet Sauvignon cask from Pondera. The cabernet cask previously held a gold award-winning wine that scored 92 points from the Seattle Wine Awards in 2019.
“This collaboration with Pondera represents exactly what we love about this area,” said Copperworks President and Co-Founder Jason Parker. “Two craft producers from neighboring cities, Kenmore and Woodinville, coming together to create a must-taste whiskey that celebrates our region’s exceptional quality.”
This is a limited edition with a production run of just 190 bottles. It is bottled at 50% ABV (100 Proof) and priced at $89.99 (+ tax and shipping) . The Pondera Cask Whiskey can be bought online through Copperworks or at the distillery or one of its tasting rooms.
