Award-winning 15 STARS Fine-Aged Bourbon has debuted Kentucke County by 15 STARS, a limited-edition line featuring two age-stated expressions that honor America’s 250th anniversary and the historical birthplace of bourbon. The new line comprises a 12-year-old American whiskey and a 6-year-old straight bourbon whiskey, both presented in commemorative, collectible bottles.
The Bardstown, Kentucky-based brand announced the launch on April 30, 2026.
Kentucke County draws its name from a chapter of American history that ties directly to bourbon’s origins. In 1776, the same year the colonies declared independence, Kentucke County was established as Virginia’s western frontier county. The region later evolved into the Kentucke District, within which Bourbon County was created and bourbon whiskey earned its name.
“Bourbon, America and Kentucky all began together,” said Ricky Johnson, co-founder of 15 STARS. “We carry the spirit and craftsmanship of early Kentucky in our bones and express it in every bottle, delivering the aged flavor of whiskeys often priced twice as high.”
Kentucke County 12 Year-Old American Whiskey is priced at $57.99 and bottled at 90 proof. The expression is a blend of straight bourbon and American whiskey, distilled from a bourbon mash bill and aged seven years in second-use oak before an additional five years in new charred oak.
Official tasting notes from the brand describe bold aromas of oak, vanilla extract, dark chocolate, and nutmeg mellowed by pear, sweet cherry, herbal tea, and honey. The palate features pear, cherry, and apple complemented by oak, cinnamon, pepper, and caramel, with a long finish of caramel, wood, and tobacco.Johnnie Walker Launches New Blue Label Azure Travel Retail Exclusive
Kentucke County 6 Year-Old Straight Bourbon Whiskey carries a $37.99 price point, also at 90 proof. It is a blend of two Kentucky straight bourbon whiskeys, each with a minimum age of six years.
Official tasting notes from the brand highlight floral honeysuckle, banana, candied fruit, and seasoned oak on the nose. The palate offers vanilla, apricot, and golden raisin with cinnamon, old wood, and leather, finishing with honey, caramel, maple syrup, and tobacco.
