Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey, currently ranking as the third-largest Irish whiskey brand in the United States, has announced its first limited-edition release with the introduction of Proper No. Twelve 13 Year Old Single Malt.

The 13-year-old single malt is crafted at the world’s oldest licensed whiskey distillery and bottled at 86 proof. Made from 100% malted barley, the expression undergoes aging in a combination of American Oak first-fill Bourbon casks and European Oak second-fill Ruby Port casks.

The dual-cask aging process contributes a variety of flavor notes to the final whiskey. The bourbon casks impart sweetness, vanilla, and warm spice notes, whilst the Ruby Port casks add layers of ripe fruit and gentle tannins.

Lander Otegui, Executive Vice President of Marketing for Proximo Spirits, emphasised the significance of this release. “The release of our 13-Year-Old Single Malt marks a major milestone in Proper No. Twelve’s journey, as the brand launches its first aged single malt whiskey,” Otegui stated. “This 13-Year-Old Single Malt is a more refined expression that still holds true to our roots — bold, accessible, and built for those who appreciate character. It’s a celebration of the exciting future ahead as we continue to expand the brand’s Irish whiskey offerings and disruptor approach to the category.”

    Limited Availability

The limited-time offering is now available in select U.S. markets, including Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Tennessee, Texas and Arizona, with a recommended retail price of $59.99.

Proper No. Twelve’s standard expression continues to retail for $24.99, bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof), with an Irish Apple variant available at 35% ABV (70 proof). The brand has maintained its charitable commitments, having donated over $5 million to first responder organisations worldwide.
