Maker’s Mark and the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation have unveiled a limited-edition bourbon commemorating the team’s 2024 World Series victory, with proceeds from the first barrel supporting wildfire relief efforts across Los Angeles.
The collaboration between the Kentucky distillery and the championship team will produce “Maker’s Mark Champion Selection x Los Angeles Dodgers,” a custom bourbon that will be available at select retailers throughout Greater Los Angeles for a suggested retail price of $74.99.
Maker’s Mark Los Angeles Dodgers Partnership Supports Wildfire Relief
The first barrel of approximately 275 bottles has been donated to the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation for charitable auctions and events. All proceeds will directly benefit wildfire relief and recovery efforts in the region.
“We’re delighted to partner with this championship team to create a one-of-a-kind bourbon that not only celebrates their historic season but also supports important wildfire relief and recovery efforts,” said Rob Samuels, Managing Director of Maker’s Mark and eighth-generation whisky maker.
The partnership extends beyond the initial release. Throughout the 2025 MLB season, fans visiting the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Homebase Store during home games can purchase autographed memorabilia and make donations. Contributors of $500 or more will receive a complimentary bottle while supplies last.
An online auction hosted by MLB.com from June 25 through July 7 will feature autographed memorabilia and experiences, including bottles signed by Rob Samuels.
Maker’s Mark Los Angeles Dodgers Bourbon Tasting Profile
The limited-edition bourbon is part of Maker’s Mark’s Private Selection program, which allows partners to purchase barrels and create custom expressions. Bottled at 112.1 proof, the official tasting notes describe the bourbon as bold yet balanced, offering a hint of sweetness on the palate with notes of caramel coated popcorn, spiced peanuts and warm baking spices on the finish.
Nichol Whiteman, Chief Executive Officer of the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, emphasized the broader impact of the collaboration. “This extraordinary partnership with Maker’s Mark not only celebrates a championship season, but also creates meaningful impact beyond the field,” she said.
The release follows a growing trend of sports-themed spirits collaborations. Maker’s Mark, founded in 1953 by Margie and Bill Samuels Sr., pioneered the use of soft red winter wheat instead of rye in bourbon production. The distillery became the largest bourbon producer to achieve B Corp Certification and the first distillery to earn Regenified Certification for sustainable agriculture practices.
The Dodgers’ 2024 World Series victory marked their eighth championship title in franchise history. The team defeated the New York Yankees in the series, bringing the trophy back to Los Angeles for the first time since 2020.
