Linn House, a luxury guest retreat in Speyside owned by scotch producer Chivas Brothers, will host its second edition of The Supper Series during the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival from April 30 to May 4, 2025. The culinary event will feature celebrated chef Jack Stein, Chef Director at Rick Stein Restaurants and middle son of the eponymous chef, who will create seafood-forward menus paired with a selection of scotch whiskies. This dining experience aims to showcase the natural harmony between fresh seafood and whisky in the heart of Speyside.

Stein will bring influences from his Cornish roots while incorporating ingredients from the Moray Coast for the event titled “From Cornwall to Moray Coast.”

Jack Stein’s Seafood and Whisky Pairings

Jacques-Henri Brive, Head of Luxury at Chivas Brothers, said: “Jack Stein’s seafood mastery is a perfect counterpoint to our expertly crafted whiskies, celebrating craftsmanship and flavour in new and unexpected ways. Amidst the atmosphere of the Spirit of Speyside Festival, these events create moments to indulge in the best of both worlds.”

The dining series will take place in the Victorian manor house that dates back to 1870. Chivas Brothers, producers of renowned whisky brands including The Glenlivet and Aberlour, has reimagined the historic property as a whisky retreat, aiming to provide luxury experiences to the ever-increasing number of whisky tourists who travel to Scotland.

Jack Stein expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration: “I’m incredibly excited to swap the Cornish coast for the rolling hills of Speyside as part of my festival residency at Linn House. My approach to cooking respects and elevates seafood in all forms – and I see whisky as being just as complex of a spirit as it is an ingredient. It’s going to be a truly special event and I can’t wait to share it with our guests.”

This event marks the continuation of Linn House’s seasonal supper series, which aims to bring international flavors to Scotland through innovative food and whisky experiences. The company plans to partner with other renowned chefs for future events. Previous collaborators include Ecuadorian chef, Ana Ortiz, whose residency at Linn House coincided with the 2025 Burns Night celebrations.

Linn House, a Victorian manor, was acquired by Chivas Brothers and then opened to whisky travelers in 2024.
