Three Chord Bourbon has announced the highly-anticipated release of its 2025 music-inspired Backstage Series with a new limited-edition release honoring The Allman Brothers Band, coinciding with the 53rd anniversary of the legendary group’s Eat a Peach album.

The premium blend combines 9-year-old straight Kentucky bourbon with 11-year-old Tennessee whiskey, finished for up to six months in peach brandy barrels from George Washington’s Mount Vernon distillery. Bottled at 107 proof, the expression will retail for $199.99.

The collaboration, conceived in late 2022, emerged from discussions between the Allman Brothers estate and David Spero, longtime manager of Dickey Betts. The project aims to introduce the band’s legacy to new audiences while supporting the musical community.

“At Three Chord Bourbon, we’re all about the music,” said the founder of Three Chord Bourbon and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Neil Giraldo. “Since day one, our mission has been to create blends that capture the same excitement you feel when you hear your favorite songs. With the Backstage Series, we strive to bottle each artist’s essence—the special qualities that make them stand out. And who better to celebrate than the Allman Brothers, whose legendary legacy and boundless creativity inspired this truly exceptional release.”

The choice of peach brandy barrels for finishing pays homage to the iconic Eat a Peach album (1972). According to the Three Chord website, Eat a Peach “is not only a masterpiece of Southern rock but also a heartfelt tribute to Skydog, the legendary Duane Allman.” Duane, one of the original guitarists in the band, died aged 24 in 1971 following a motorcycle crash.

The unique finishing process, lasting between three to six months, adds complexity to the already mature blend of whiskeys and pays tribute to the meaningful nature of the Eat a Peach album.
